Shervey Power System "The Outback Odyssey"
Shervey™ Outback Odyssey
The Ultimate Off-Grid Canopy Power System.
The Outback Odyssey is the flagship of the Shervey canopy power range — engineered for extreme off-grid capability and high-demand touring rigs. With a 5,000 VA inverter/charger, dual solar inputs, dual high-output DC-DC chargers, integrated AC distribution, and Victron’s powerful Ekrano GX control system, this powerhouse runs induction cooking, air conditioning, refrigeration, workstations, comms, and more — seamlessly managed from one advanced system.
⚠️ Important Notes
-
Massive Charging Capability → Up to 4× the solar input of the Aussie Expedition and 2× the alternator input when installed in a 24 V vehicle.
-
Advanced AC Integration → Includes 2 × GPOs, each wired to their own AC sub-circuit, enabling full 5 kVA inverter output.
-
Spare Third Sub-Circuit → A third AC sub-circuit is pre-wired internally but requires a qualified electrician to connect.
-
24 V System Side / 12 V Output Side → DC outputs are 12 V limited to 70 A combined, but the 24 V Lynx Distributor supports up to 400 A when hardwired directly.
-
Due to system complexity, professional installation is strongly recommended.
Purchase & Installation Requirements
The Outback Odyssey requires strict planning to ensure it performs exactly as intended. As a result, this is the only Shervey system that cannot be purchased entirely online.
-
Deposit & Consultation
-
A deposit is required to begin your order.
-
A senior Shervey technician will contact you directly to plan your installation, battery setup, and solar integration.
-
-
Battery Requirements
-
Must be purchased with Shervey 24 V Lithium Batteries.
-
Minimum specification: 1 × Shervey Lithium Battery 24 V 300 Ah (reduces available charge speed).
-
Recommended specification: 2 × Shervey Lithium Battery 24 V 300 Ah — required to fully utilise the system’s 320 A 24 V charge capacity.

Solar Array Planning
-
Shervey provides custom advice on solar sizing and wiring.
-
Panel configuration affects Noark breaker sizing.
-
Complex series-parallel wiring is often required when using 12 V solar panels.
-
For best results, we recommend pairing this system with Shervey Solar Panels.
